Joined Castle right out of college in an Inside Sales role with the Castle Metals unit; moved to Outside Sales with the Plate unit in 2008

Current responsibilities:

"I’m an Outside Sales Representative covering Illinois outside of the Chicago metropolitan area, plus Iowa and Missouri. I’m generally on the road four days a week meeting with customers - getting to know their businesses, discussing solutions, and addressing any issues that may arise. One day a week I work from home on reports, schedules, and paperwork and on updating my team on market conditions and opportunities. I really enjoy the flexibility and variety in my job and being able to work directly with customers."

What I like most about my job:

"It’s like I run my own little business. I have lots of autonomy, and with that comes personal accountability. It’s up to me to push forward and create the structure and focus I need to be successful. I like that challenge!"

"I’d like to use Castle’s tuition reimbursement to earn my MBA, then move into an accounting or finance role in order to gain experience in another part of the business. From there, I’d like to move into a management role."
